November 16, 2022 - A productive and collaborative meeting, "LSST@Europe4 - Shaping the European Contribution to LSST," took place October 24-28 in Rome, Italy, with a high level or participation from members of the Rubin Operations and Construction teams. The meeting focused on the last phases of Rubin Construction, the transition to Operations, and on the participation of international communities in commissioning, early science, and the LSST Science Collaborations. Rubin staff members gave presentations on Construction project status, integration and commissioning, operations, In-Kind program status, and early science. The European community presented about their In-Kind contributions, science goals, and synergies with Euclid, SKA, and other projects.
Between 250 and 300 people registered for the meeting, with many participating online because of COVID-19 restrictions. Those who attended in person enjoyed a tour of the meeting venue, the Accademia dei Lincei in Trastevere, on the banks of the Tiber.
Recordings of conference sessions and a link to the video posters are available on the meeting website.
