Data Management Kick-Off Meeting

Over 60 people associated with the LSST project attended the Data Management Kick-Off Meeting on May 10 and 11, 2004, in Tucson, AZ.

Tim Axelrod, Project Scientist for Data Management, began the meeting with an Opening Talk [PPT, PDF] which discussed the LSST Design and Development Phase from the Data Management point of view.

Prior to the meeting, the LSST Data Management team had identified the following 6 key areas intended to cover the broad domain of LSST data management.
